Maritimo Fishing

We had a wonderful day together with Leon! He is a steady captain and an excellent fisherman. Leon took us to a spot where we were alone and where we actually caught various spices of fish. Leon is very helpful and arranged for us so we could have a good meal with the fish we had caught at a nice restaurant. I recommend it for everyone who wants to go fishing!

Had an awesome day out on the water with Marjan. My husband loves to fish and we try to get out for at least one trip whenever we are on vacation (if possible). Marjan was super knowledgeable about the area, (species, techniques etc) and had all the tools needed for a great day on the water. He was very passionate about fishing (like my husband) and easy to talk to. We always like to learn as much as we can about the people we meet from other countries which I'm sure can be annoying to some but he was very friendly and happy to talk to us. We stopped at the Blue Caves on our way back which were beautiful! Will definitely go back out with him when we're back in the country!

Captain Marjan took us out for a half day for 400 Euro. I have to say first off I was disappointed to not catch a new species of large fish on the trip. Bonito or Mahi Mahi were on the hit list but we fished for other fish. We spent a lot of time searching for fish instead of having hooks in the water. Marjan was an expert on his boat and knowledgeable about many fishing techniques. I give 5 stars because Marjan was on time and the trip had so many unique elements to it. We went to the Blue cave of an island near Dubrovnik. We swam and snorkelled multiple times. Both my son and I used a unique technique with a hand line while in the water to catch bait fish. My daughter was with us and she does not like fishing so catching bait fish was more fun for her and Marjan kept things interesting. He was very open to what we wanted to do. Half a day is not long so two hours with hooks in the water on the adriatic sea considering other things we wanted to do was great. We did catch a beautiful octopus, enjoyed a nice snack spread with vegetables from Marjans own garden. He had Restoran Madonna cook the octopus and small fish for us and even stopped by to say hello and make sure we were taken care of. The sights were beautiful and we had a great time.

Book Maritimo Fishing because the looked to cater well for families with young kids. We were not disappointed. Leon was our guide for the day and was fun friendly and spent a load of time with the kids. First class day out, we caught loads of fish and everyone had a great time! We will book here again next time we are in Dubrovnik.

We did a fishing charter with Maritimo Fishing, Captain Marjan in June ‘23, part of our honeymoon excursion. Marjan was an excellent host, instructor and friend. We are from the US and he was able to communicate in English very well. The boat was beautiful, the fishing was professional and the environment was amazing. He even took us to the blue cave so we could swim and see the beauty Croatia Bas to offer. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Dubrovnik!

Would suggest not going for Tuna - Leon is a nice guy but there was no chance of ever getting a Tuna with our strategy of being anchored and frozen bait… I would like to give benefit of doubt and chalk it up to bad luck but the price tag (2-3x more than any other big game fishing experience in any country that I’ve ever been on) makes this a hard pass.

A fuir arnaque à touristes. 4h de pêche pour 900€ sur des vieux bateaux et avec peu de matériel. Même pas un coup à boire. Zone de pêche désertique... Conseil allez plutôt au Monténégro 3 fois moins chère avec un top service et du poisson. 😭 En constant la réponse : je confirme mon avis A FUIR On a régler le montant de 900€ sans problème. Nous avons et confirmons que le montant est bien trop élevé pour le service. Je confirme aussi que le bateau est vieux et fatigué. Je confirme aussi qu'il n'y a jamais eut de boisson. J'assume que pour 4h de pèche c'est bien trop chère, il n'a jamais été question de ces temps à la réservation. Au final ça fait uniquement 2h à péché car il y a 1h aller retour. Et oui j'insiste pour les futurs touriste allez au Monténégro : Top service, top bateau, top équipement et je confirme zone bien plus poissonneuse.. EN PLUS MARITIMO fait de la sous traitance ! A bon entendeur
